Assa Abloy AB is a Swedish conglomerate whose offerings cover products and services ranging from locks, doors, gates and entrance automation. This also includes controlling identities with keys, cards, tags, mobile and bio-metric identity verification systems

The Challenge

Managing brand specific product data, translation data for multiple language was a big challenge for Assa Abloy. There was a need to cleanse data and business process management across organization among different user roles.

The Solution

Nvizion implemented custom data quality rules using IDQ with data dictionary for different Business entities and Brands. Hotfolder configuration helped to automate the import process and hot folder groups allowed to manage the sequence of imports. Data translation was managed in PIM using configurable exports and imports and used DQ rules and BPM for validating and monitoring the entire translation process.

The Benefits

Improved product data quality and classification capabilities, searchability of products on customer-facing web channels. Managing and monitoring of data translations, product attributes data was made much easier through groups features and feature inheritance in PIM.
